Requirements for each Participating Teacher in the Sacramento BTSA
Consortium are the same, whether the participant is signed up for
CSUS graduate level credit or not.
First Year Participating Teacher
Ninety hours of direct participation culminating with a teaching
portfolio. (90 hours is equivalent to 6 units of graduate level credit
from California State University, Sacramento).

Weekly Individual Coaching & Small Group Tutorials based on the California Standards for
the Teaching Profession (CSTP)
and Student Content Standards using the Formative Assessment for CA Teachers (FACT)
as a focus.
24 Hours
Professional Development based
on the California
Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP)
and Student Content Standards. Participating Teachers may attend
four 6-hour Saturdays sponsored by BTSA.
10 Hours
Inquiry cycle: Equity for All Students
12 Hours
Four SCOE Benchmark Seminars. Sessions are determined based on Participating Teachers'
identified needs.
2 Hours
Portfolio Presentation.
Second Year Participating Teacher
