Become a Consortium Member

To become a BTSA consortium member:

  • Obtain support and approval from your governing board, superintendent, site administrators and teachers' bargaining unit
  • Identify a District Coordinator and a District Advisor
  • Recruit support providers selected through a criterion driven process
  • Budget for BTSA including at least $2,000 in in-kind support for each participating teacher
  • Authorize support providers to complete BTSA-required training — 5 days of CFASST Year I and 4 days of CFASST Year II.
  • Identify eligible 1st and 2nd year teachers
  • Match support providers with participating teachers according to site, grade level, and/or subject matter
  • Train all administrators
  • Sign a Memorandum of Understanding
